This weekend Durango celebrates one of our annual traditions—the Durango Independent Film Festival (DIFF). February 27-March 3, the 14th Annual festival will offer unique films, parties, panels and workshops.
Starting on Wednesday, the event kicks off with a free movie night—first come first served. The event will feature “The Great Alaskan Race,” “Rest of the Best Shorts Program”, and “Desolation Center.” The rest of the weekend, a variety of films genres will be shown, including: adventure programs, documentaries, features, family programs, Native Cinema, REEL Learning, and shorts programs.
In addition to films, the panels are filled with information. Some of the events are even free. Topics include talking with filmmakers, the process of making documentaries, and other filmmaking stories. Various parties will be held throughout Durango over the weekend as well with special food and beverage options. There’s truly something for everyone over the weekend!
The DIFF is a fantastic way for locals to enjoy the films, and we are also thankful to have another event draw visitors to Durango. It’s great for the entire town to offer events that cater to all people, and we love people coming to Durango!
