Durango is full of a variety of activities to suit all people and hobbies. This weekend is a great example of some of the fun to be had in and around town.
The Durango Bach Festival, held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church features a variety of performers throughout the week. March 17-23, there will be 9 concerts. This is the 12th year of the festival! If you’re interested in music, this is a fantastic local opportunity. Here’s the website for more information: http://www.durangobachfestival.com/
The Women Outside Adventure Forum by Backcountry Experience will also occur this week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) at the Powerhouse Science Center and Henry Strater Theatre. This is a fascinating way to learn more about women athletes. These ladies represent adventure running, Big wall climbing, US/Mexico Border Thru-Hiking, and more. This is a fascinating lineup of athletes, and such a fun way to learn more about outdoor adventures. Take a look at this website for more details: https://www.durango.org/events/event/women-outside-adventure-forum/.
There’s also a performance by the Glen Miller Orchestra on Saturday at the FLC Community Concert Hall, and a one by Bolshoi Ballet in Cinema (The Sleeping Beauty) on Sunday at the Animas City Theatre. It’s a great weekend to enjoy the activities around town, and fun for all ages. We hope you enjoy where we live, and the lifestyle and culture Durango offers.
