Each month the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and Durango Area Association of REALTORS® (DAAR) provide statistics showing the past month’s real estate activity and year to date numbers. With these, we can review on the market, key metrics, and potentially see where our market may be headed.
In June 2022, there were 12,504 new single family listings in the state of Colorado making the year to date total 56,191. This is around 2.5% more listing activity than in 2021. With 7,662 under contract and 8,315 sold in June, which is around 20% less than last year. La Plata County had slightly less listings and sales activity with 129 listings and 60 sales.
The median statewide sales price has risen 11% to $589,00 in June and is up almost 16% for the year at $575,000. La Plata County increased 13% to $696,250. The state average in June was $722,014 compared to June 2021 $671,105 as La Plata County’s average also increased almost 2% to $762,116. In all of Colorado, over 100% of the listing price was received, we saw decreasing days on the market, and an increase in inventory.
