For the last several weeks, we have featured ways to enjoy Durango despite the current Safer at Home phase in which Colorado resides. One of our favorite seasonal Durango traditions started recently: the Durango Farmers Market!
The Durango Farmers Market operates on Saturday mornings from 9-12 in the TBK Bank Parking lot (259 W. 9th Street). There will be some changes this year as a result of COVID (such as face masks and no live music yet); however, it is still a fantastic place to purchase local artisan goods and goods.
Fresh and local produce, eggs, meats, cheeses, beverages, and ready-to-eat items are sold at the Durango Farmers market. In addition, hand crafted artisan goods are available, such as soaps, lotions, pottery, and more. As of now, they are functioning as an outdoor local grocery store supplier. Usually we love the farmers market for the community atmosphere and comradery. While that will be a bit different now, this is still a wonderful way to support our local suppliers, as well as purchase healthy local supplies.
