Fido’s Home

According to the National Association of REALTORS and realtor.com, more pet owners than ever claim that they’d move homes to accommodate their pet’s needs. 43% say that they’d move homes and 68% would pass on their ideal home if it didn’t meet their pet’s needs. Durango is a very pet friendly town but that doesn’t seem to stop pet deposits, “pet rent”, and HOA limitations from hindering the possibilities.

For dogs, having a fenced yard, mudroom, space, and proximity to parks and trails are key factors. Durango’s numerous parks, trails, and spacious dog specific park makes this one a little easier. Taking into consideration larger pets such as horses, cows, and sheep, the surrounding area provides large acre farm and ranch land, these animals can have their own parks too!

Depending on your furry friend’s needs, let us help you find a home that you and your pet both will love! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions about La Plata County’s real estate market.
