La Plata County single family homes had a mediocre month this year compared to last June. There was an increase in new listings and a slight increase in the median sales price. However, the total number of sold listings decreased this June compared to last June. Year to date, we see fewer new listings and a lower number of sold listings, but a higher median sales price compared to through last June at this time.

The pattern in the townhouse/condo market is an interesting trend; we have noticed an increased demand in the townhouse/condo market and have been expecting this increase, and it’s playing out as we have been noting. The Durango in-town townhouse/condo market also had a strong month: more new listings, sold listings, and a higher median sales price.
