Fall is met with colder nights and the rapidly approaching holiday season. Here are a few November events to attend to enjoy live music and get in the holiday spirit.

Artsy Crafty Studio is hosting a 4-week long holiday adult class. The owner, Deborah Everton, will show you how to make a wool felt wreath, gold leafed glass, marveled baubles, and more! The class will take place 7-8:30 every Wednesday evening from November 17 – December 15. This class is for 18+ year old and those 21+ can even enjoy wine while getting in touch with their creative side! It’s $185 for everything but there’s limited spots so don’t wait to sign up! Visit Everton’s website here for more information:

Animas City Theater is welcoming three live bands to the stage this month. JD Simo and GA – 20 take the stage on the 6th with hypnotic, psychedelic, old school blues, and fuzzy rock. On the 7th, The Movement, DENM, and Vana Liya bring reggae tunes to warm up the winter months with a beachy atmosphere. On the 10th, Zoso – The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience brings all your favorite Zeppelin riffs to Durango! Magic Beans with A Special Guest from Denver perform funk, soul, electronica, and bluegrass on the 20th. Check out ACT’s website for tickets:

The Polar Express returns on November 19th! This is a perfect family holiday excursion put on by the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The 65 minute train ride to the North Pole is interactive, so pajamas are suggested! Based on the book, the major motion picture brought it to the screens and now you can live it. With singing waitstaff, golden tickets, and of course hot chocolate, this is a wonderful Christmas activity. Tickets are now available for sale on D&SNGRR’s website here:
