This week we have the latest numbers for La Plata County residential real estate. While not a surprise based on the level of activity we’ve seen these past couple of months, the numbers are staying steady, with52 total single family sales for the month of February. January was at 59 solds and February 2020 was 46.
Year to date we have 110 total sales in La Plata County. Last year at this time, we had 113 total sales, so we are staying steady with these numbers. The median sales price sits at $337,000, whereas 2020 ended at $335,000. The average days on the market are at 89, compared to 123 in 2020. We are still seeing strong activity and a high median sales price. We are seeing more multiple offers with back up offers than in 2020.
2021 continues to surprise us with the real estate activity. The biggest challenge we have now is the low inventory on the market.
