Coming home to a clean home is satisfying and stress-relieving. Having a spring-cleaning list to tackle makes this goal achievable! Good Housekeeping highlights these as easy ways to spruce up you home.

  1. Vacuum and/or hose down both sides of indoor and outdoor floor mats.
  2. Use glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth on windows and dust the blinds.
  3. Wipe down the walls and door frames, especially in the kitchen, where dust, oil, and fingerprints build up.
  4. Freshen up carpets and rugs by using spot cleaners and rotating brushes.
  5. De-odorize the kitchen sink with special cleaners or a slice of lemon rind.
  6. Steam clean the microwave.
  7. Wash reusable grocery bags either in the washing machine or by hand, depending on care instructions.
  8. Get the crumbs of the corners and from underneath appliances and polish countertops if they are a material like granite.
  9. Take on a closet, cabinet, or room to reorganize, declutter, and purge.
  10. Clean cutting boards from old stains with lemon, salt, and baking soda.
  11. Deep clean the refrigerator: the shelves, drawers, top, and get rid of expired items.
  12. Clean the pots and pans and season the cast irons.
  13. De-gunk the oven using easy-off sprays and the oven’s clean setting.
  14. Clean the inside and out of kitchen cabinets.
  15. Reorganize the junk drawer.
