Bayfield is a smaller town to the east of Durango and offers a similar mixture of intown townhomes and neighborhoods along with large country home properties. Farming and ranching is very common in and around Bayfield. The town of Bayfield offers convenience stores, local cafes, restaurants, and shops. The Pine River flows along the western side of town and Vallecito Reservoir is just 13 miles north. Annual events and community gatherings are held, perfect for visitors and locals.
