The holiday season is in full swing! December is filled with many community events celebrating the snow-filled, red and green magic of Christmas. Take a look at some of the upcoming activities in Durango, Colorado.

Wreath Making

Wreaths are an elegant staple to holiday decor and range in material, size, and colors. Learn how to make your own at one of these fun workshops.

Adela Flora

This local flower boutique is hosting three wreath making workshops throughout the month in collaboration with other local businesses. First, on December 5th at the Union House; second, on December 7th at Sutcliffe Vineyards; and lastly, on December 11th at the Adela Flora studio. During these classes, you’ll get the materials and instruction to make a lovely wreath to take home…and maybe a bottle of wine?!

April’s Garden & Durango Sustainable Goods

Available December 1st and 7th, April’s Garden is hosting a wreath making open house in collaboration with Durango Sustainable Goods. All-natural materials and guidance on making a holiday wreath will be provided during this fun community event. Beverages and snacks provided.

The Subterrain

Wine corks find their second purpose at The Subterrain on December 7th. This wreath making class will be upcycling wine corks for a drinking and crafting event. All supplies and instructions are included!

Noel Night

A Durango classic, Noel Night is a Local First event supporting local businesses for your holiday shopping needs. On December 6th, downtown Durango will be bustling with special deals, live music, festive events, and treats for everyone. Shop, eat, and support local during the holiday season while finding unique (and sometimes delicious) gifts! It’s a community event for locals, tourists, and all ages.

Don’t forget to RSVP as each ticket includes sweet treats, beverages to enjoy and four personally decorated cookies to take home.
