As Christmas approaches and 2025 draws near, we want to take a moment to reflect on 2024 and share our gratitude with you.
First and foremost, we’re thankful for another year of helping both local and out-of-area clients navigate their real estate journeys. Whether buying or selling, it is a privilege to be part of such meaningful milestones and we don’t take that lightly. This work is fulfilling not only because we help people find properties that match their evolving lives, but also because of the friendships that naturally develop. In a close-knit community like Durango, it is always fun to run into clients-turned-friends at the grocery store, school pick-up lines, and in downtown Durango.
The Durango Team was honored to assist in over 70 sales across Southwest Colorado this year. From first-time homebuyers to growing families, downsizers, developers, and everyone in between, every transaction is important to us. Although mortgage rates did not come down quite as much as we’d anticipated, they have decreased nearly 1% from their 7.8% high in October 2023. With increasing median and average prices, we understand that entering the Southwest Colorado market can be challenging. Our commitment to our clients is always the same: to serve you with personalized, up-to-date market knowledge while keeping your goals at the center of the transaction.
In 2024, we navigated changes to our industry brought by the National Association of REALTORSⓇ lawsuits. While it shifted some aspects of our industry, it doesn’t seem to be disrupting our local market. Change is consistent, and we are always ready to adapt and guide you through it.
