The Durango Farmers Market is the largest agricultural based market in Southwest Colorado and the Four Corners area, showcasing many regional farms, ranches, and businesses. In addition to the popular weekly summer markets, they also host off season markets twice a year which showcase seasonal harvest and holiday items.
When to Visit the Durango Farmers Market?
The farmers market is every Saturday from 8 am - 12 pm in the TBK Bank parking, 259 W 9th St in Durango, CO. It runs from May through October and is a great way to start your summer day and get some grocery shopping done too!
What is Sold at the Durango Farmers Market?
Produce, protein, ready to eat foods, and artisan goods from local farms such as Adobe House Farm, Bangas Farm, Field to Plate Produce, Long Table Farm, Mocking Crow Farm, Turtle Lake Refuge, and over two dozen more fill the booths. Salad greens, carrots, herbs, onions, and much more fresh produce create a gorgeous display. Grass fed beef, goat dairy products, free range chicken and eggs, plus other animal products sold here pair well with the fresh produce. Local coffee companies, bakeries, and restaurants are on hand for delicious brunch bites. There is something for everyone with jewelry, pottery, metal work, rugs, and other handmade items created by local artists.
Knife sharpening, chair massages, and a photo booth round out the offerings. Weekly music guests create a lively atmosphere to enjoy all of these amazing local businesses.
