Fine Dining in Durango, CO

Durango’s restaurant scene offers everything from local breweries to unique African, Mexican, and Nepalese food trucks, and everything in between. While Durango is not well known for elevated, formal attire and events, there are many choices for high-end cuisine. Below are some of Durango’s most popular fine dining restaurants.

Eolus Bar & Dining

Located in the heart of Durango between 9th and 10th on Main Avenue, Eolus Bar & Dining offers a carefully curated menu with top-notch service. Like its namesake mountain, their exquisite plates include blistered shishitos, Norwegian salmon, seared duck, grilled hanger steak, lobster burgers, and decadent desserts to finish. Handcrafted cocktails accompany these dishes, and they only use the finest and often locally sourced ingredients in their offerings since 2013.

Seasons of Durango

Serving Durango since 1994, Seasons is rooted in American classics with elevated twists. Near the corner of 8th and Main, their big glass windows invite you into the airy dining space featuring the open exhibition kitchen. Separate lunch and dinner menus give plenty of options such as crab cakes, customizable sandwiches, and a set power lunch menu to pork chops, steaks, and seabass plates. They’re known for their award-winning wine lists but also serve handmade cocktails, beer, liqueurs, and more.

636 Main Avenue

An American bistro restaurant in downtown Durango, 636 Main Avenue (formerly known as Ken & Sue’s), offers high-standard food at reasonable prices. The highly trained kitchen and front-of-house staff provide an unforgettable experience that can include dishes such as blackened salmon salad, sesame-seared rare tuna, east coast lobster tail, porterhouse steak, and chicken piccata. Make sure you save room for a homemade dessert which can be paired with one of their many cocktails. Enjoy sitting in the main dining area or on the heated back patio!

Chimayo Stone Fired Kitchen

Nestled on the corner of 9th and Main, Chimayo Stone Fired Kitchen is named after a small town in New Mexico as well as the Chimayo chile - which is used in many of their dishes. The open kitchen featuring two large wood-fired ovens takes center stage and produces delicious plates like fire-roasted jalapeno guacamole, prime rib French dip, wahoo fish tacos, lamb ragu hummus bowl, mushroom truffle fettuccine, and of course wood fired pizzas spread out between their lunch and dinner menus.

Perbacco Cucina Italiana

A newer addition to Durango's restaurant lineup, Perbacco Cucina Italia is tucked away by the D&SNGRR on 6th and Main. Passion and tradition shine here with authentic Italian dishes such as bruschette miste, cannelloni, pappardelle ai funghi porcini, linguine allo scolio, pollo al limone, and “build your own” pasta dishes. Infamous and from-scratch made desserts like tiramisu, crème brûlée, cannoli, panna cotta, and affogato are the perfect end to a meal here.

Other Durango dining experiences include The Ore House, East by Southwest, and Primi Pasta and Wine Bar. With plenty of dining options in Durango, CO - please don’t hesitate to contact Deven and Max for their favorite restaurants and more information about local amenities.
