4th of July
Durango is celebrating the 4th of July for four days this year! Starting on Thursday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 6th, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the red, white, and blue. Join in on events like a pancake breakfast, scavenger hunt, live music performances, Freedom 5k, BBQ, Art Walk, Rodeo, Animus on the Animas, pie baking & eating contests, and a Wet & Wild Parade! Four Corners Gem & Mineral Show
Now in its 71st year, the Four Corners Gem & Mineral Show will take place at the La Plata County Fairgrounds July 11 - 13. Sixty dealers from across the country will showcase a huge variety of rocks, crystals, fossils, jewelry, tools, and much more. There will be food and beverages, as well as gold panning and a treasure hunt for kids! Whether you’re a serious collector, jewelry maker, or just perusing, there will be plenty to admire.
KSUT Party in the Park
KSUT, one of the Four Corners most prominent radio stations, is celebrating their 20th Anniversary of Party in the Park. On Friday, July 18th, Los Lobos - a Mexican American rock band from East LA - will take the stage after the gates open at 5 pm in Buckley Park. Tickets are only $35 and available on their website.
