Colder weather creates the perfect time for indoor events! This November is full of theater performances, live music, and some opportunities to bundle up and cheer on our local high school and college football teams!
Hesperus Ski Patrol Ski Swap
Hosted at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, the 61st Annual Ski Swap is on November 2nd from 8 am - 4 pm. Proceeds benefit Hesperus Ski Patrol and go towards training, equipment, and maintenance. While some of the items are sold by local retailers, there is also an opportunity for people to sell their used gear which must be brought on October 31st from 3 - 8 pm.
With thousands of discounted items to choose from including apparel, skis, snowboards, boots, car racks, and more, this is a great place to get ready for the winter activities to come!
Battle of the Bands
Stillwater Music will put on their first Battle of the Bands at The Light Box on November 8th starting at 6:30. This fundraiser will benefit Stillwater’s youth scholarship programs that help aspiring musician’s dreams come true. Battle of the Bands winners will be decided by cheering fans and funds raised!
Singing with Santa
Kick off the holiday season on November 29th in downtown Durango with the annual Singing with Santa and the lighting of the community Christmas tree! This festive day is full of activities including a Holly Jolly Gift Card Drawing, Scavenger Hunt, and caroling in Buckley Park - this is a great time to head downtown to shop and support local businesses. Wrap up the evening at the part with free hot chocolate and cookies at 5:30 before the carols begin at 6:00.
